Department of Food Processing Technology established in
2001 (18 years old) as a flagship department of A. D. Patel
Institute of Technology.
ADIT is pioneer in starting the unique UG programme i.e.
BE (Food Processing Technology) for the first time in Gujarat.
This course is approved by AICTE and recognised by ICAR, New
Department of Food Processing Technology is accredited
twice by NBA in year 2009 and 2019, respectively.
This department is equipped with state of the art
laboratories with advanced facilities.
Food Processing Industry is one of the major employment
intensive sectors in India and GOI has recognized the Food
Processing as a priority sector.
